Tim Haas

Tim Haas has been the Adjunct Professor of Clarinet at Grand Canyon University since 2012. At GCU he runs the GCU Clarinet Studio, coordinates recruiting events and plays Principal Clarinet in the Canyon Symphony Orchestra. Tim has been a featured soloist with the GCU Wind Ensemble and the GCU Thunder Big Band on several occasions, and has performed on several GCU Faculty Recitals. He has also previously taught courses in chamber music and music education.

Tim has been the Principal Clarinetist of the Symphony of the Southwest since 2008. He can be heard regularly with many professional groups in the Phoenix area, including The Phoenix Symphony, Arizona Opera Orchestra, West Valley Symphony, Phoenix Opera Orchestra, Four Seasons Orchestra, Mill Avenue Chamber Players and MusicaNova Orchestra. Tim is also a frequent solo performer, and has been a featured soloist with bands from several high schools in the Phoenix area. He also maintains a large private teaching studio of clarinet and saxophone students.
